Desaru is located on the eastern tip of the peninsula has clean white sand beaches and is popular with tourists and local. The numerous resorts and hotels here cater to the budget traveler as well as families seeking fun in the sun. Some of the many activities include golf, horseback riding, tennis, canoeing, swimming, boating, fishing, diving, jungle trekking and other water sports.

Desaru Beach is easily accessible from Singapore and the north by road via Kota Tinggi and by ferry services from Changi Point, Singapore. The beaches are lined with casuarina trees dotted by rustic fishing village.
