Gunung Ledang National Park based in Johor, located in the district of Muar, Johor. This mountain was gazette as a national park on 3 October 2005 but started operations in July 2003. The size of the park is 8611 hectares.
The Legend of Puteri Gunung Ledang
On the death of her husband, the beautiful fairy princess and become a fact of his house in the mountains. During the 15th century, the Sultan of Malacca was encaptured for her beauty and proposed marriage.

In 1854, Alfred Russel Wallace – Charles Darwin’s contemporary author and a member of the theory of evolution – spent a week on Mount Ophir. Like others before him, and many others to come, which fell under the spell of its hypnotic beauty.
During his visit, Wallace recorded the presence of tigers, rhinos and elephants, as well as a number of plants, insects and bird species.
