Dayang Island is an island in the group is Pulau Dayang Aur which is actually the second largest island located there. The people of White Sand and Kampung Pasir Putih is a village on the island, facing Pulau Aur and Dayang separated by the Canal. In the village visitors can also find the popular Dayang Island Resort, the resort is privately owned and operated where the guests can experience life on the beach. One of the key features you find on the island is the communal life, this will give an opportunity for city dwellers to relax and unwind.

The entire island is in the traditional heritage of Malaysia, which promise a rustic and cozy atmosphere for all who come to the island. The island is an ideal place for vacations, as well as divers and fishermen. So if you want to get away from city life then why not just drop by and enjoy the rich tropical beauty that the island has to offer.

The islands in the group Aur Island are frequently visited by foreigners, and diving enthusiasts, as mentioned previously here the islands still retain their rustic charm and is therefore not surprising to find that there is only here for radio phones. The islands are about 300 settlers, so basically the whole world knows what it a safe place for your vacation. The island gained prominence in April 1999 when a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) F-111 bomber crashed on a peak during a Five Power Defense. Since the plane crashed in an area which is quite difficult to access the RAAF left most of the remains there. However, a memorial has been established at the time of that particular event.

There are several low pinnacles situated on the eastern side of Pulau Aur which rises 30 m from the seabed. These peaks are located near the surface of good hard coral growth, including table corals. Visitors can travel to these mountains if you like, take about half an hour to get there. Another similar site located northeast of Pulau Dayang called ”33m Rayner’s Rock has a high black rock where you can have the opportunity to see coral stone, whale sharks, manta rays and large. There is also a surprisingly large number of juvenile fish that can be found as far offshore.

There are currently no dive centers situated on the island so this means that all outputs are diving on the island must be pre-ordered. The packages for diving trips usually include transfers of land in Singapore / Kuala Lumpur to the dock which is located in Mersing. Also include the transfer of the boat resorts located on the island and you can find such packages of dive operators. It is better to compare before you subscribe to the packages, this is because you may be able to find the best package at the best price.

Another type of diving you can choose to do during their stay on the island is the wreck of the vessel that dives are scheduled on weekends. The boat will take you to the site of sinking of ships outside the South China Sea, where you will have the opportunity to see literally pieces of history at recreational depths. At the same time, you will be able to see more than 50 sharks in one dive, and the rays of sand and other marine life aquatic. So if you have an underwater camera that would be the best time to carry it out and use it.

The best time to go diving for these activities are during the months of April to June in the waters are clear, but not too calm. The interior of the island as Pulau Pemanggil are especially popular among non-divers and it is advisable that you stay away from the islands on weekends and holidays, as it was packed and crowded.

The channel is between that of Pulau Aur and Pulau Dayang is rich with coral reefs, which are now in relatively shallow water you will have the opportunity to see them up close. One interesting thing you may want to note that there is a sunken airplane in the center of the channel that is wrapped in fishing net. There will also have the opportunity to dive among the elements that go back to the Ming dynasty. So make your way to these islands as you will not be disappointed with the number of activities to be enjoyed.

Malaysia, no doubt, has been blessed with many tropical islands with white sand beaches and clear blue waters. An example of such an island is located 67 km from the east coast of the island is called Pulau Aur Mersing. Here visitors will find one that offers the best diving sites in the world where you will have the opportunity to dive with whale sharks closer to the big walls and coral gardens in the search and even hulking shipwrecks.

Fishermen in the past Pulau Aur used as a stop because of the new water supply and the quantity of fish could be caught in waters near the island. After some of the fishermen decided to move his family to the island instead. The island is rich in history and mystery and this can be seen through the number of items that have been rescued over the years from the seabed.

On the basis of the elements that were recovered from the ruins on the seabed around the islands, it’s safe to say that Pulau Aur is already known to the Chinese sailors for centuries. There is even evidence to support this claim, when a printed map in the 17th century shows the famous voyages of Admiral Zhenghe in the 15th century that identifies Aur Island as they have encountered in their travels.

The island was an increase in population and in the 19th century there was an estimated 1,400 inhabitants on the island consisting of fishermen, traders and slaves. Even became a place for pirates to carry out their business, such as the slave trade, devastation and pillage. Pirates even took the opportunity to attack foreign ships arrived on the island as a stopover before continuing on their journey to other countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and beyond.

Most of the island’s population lives on the coast in small kampongs four to six buildings. The island has no roads, which means that there are no vehicles, making it one of the few places that have not been tainted by pollution. This makes it an ideal place for those who want to escape the pressures of city life to relax and unwind while on the rejuvenation of healthy environment. The people supported themselves by fishing, as well as the functioning of the diving points on the island.

Other islands which are near Pulau Aur and Pulau Lang, Rayners Rock, Pulau Dayang and Pulau Pemanggil all belong to the Johor Marine Park. They are located here, but they are quite rocky and forested, and some even have isolated coconut plantations. These islands have the potential to become sites of world-class diving, due to the depth, clear water, the chances of finding large pelagic species are high, and healthy corals.

Kampung Teluk Berhala Kampong is the largest on the island making it a safe place to be throughout the world knows it. There are also installations of the rule is usually found in these villages as a police station, a small mosque, a school and so on. There is a grocery owned by Fatima Makcik one that is well stocked, despite its size. There are even solar powered public telephone located on the island, but according to neighbors phones are not reliable when it comes to the island is best hope for the mobile phone is connected. In the southern part of the island is another cove that is called Teluk Sebukang. It is better to take a boat to this place as walking is very difficult, just go to the question and the jetty. If you happen to stumble upon a boatman who does not have a busy schedule, is in luck then, for a price you can take the other villages on Pulau Aur, and the nearby island of Dayang Island.

You can also choose to visit other villages on the island, especially the back side of Pulau Aur. You can access through the villages of the coast walk from Kampung Berhala steps that are well maintained so you do not have to worry about. It will take you about an hour to reach their destination, but expect to see some of the spectacular views that the island has to offer. So be sure to bring some water and a camera to capture the splendid views.

Sibu Island or Pulau Sibu in Malay, while the island is big and it’s like kissing on Pulau Sibu Besar Sibu Island in English mean. Pulau Sibu is actually part of the Seribuat island chain and is located 12 km to the east coast of the western region of Peninsular Malaysia. If you want to get to Pulau Sibu then have to get to Tanjong Leman is the boat to the point of selection. Is approximately 2 hours north of Johor Bahru on the Mersing road. From a bird’s-eye view of the island looks like a triangular hour glass, measured at about 6 km long and 1 km wide.

Visitors to the island you will find that most of the resorts are located in the north east of Pulau Sibu. Here you will find golden beaches gradually slope into the sea making a perfect place to take a bath in the cool refreshing waters. This island will also see the other surrounding islands like Pulau Tinggi and on clear days, you may also be able to see as far as north of Pulau Tioman islands. If you are lucky enough to spend the night when there is full moon to make sure to take the opportunity to look to the sky as the island offers wonderful views of the moon.

Before the island was officially designated as a marine park on the way back to 1993, there was a line kelongs (traps) that can even be seen outside the southwest coast of the island provided with an endless supply of succulent seafood everyone to enjoy. However, since the new regulations were carried out in connection with the island are designated as a marine park, allowing only rods and line fishing, but it remains popular with tourists. The coast of the island are sheltered from most winds and it is very quiet and peaceful, in this sense has made the sea very quiet and you can not tell if it is actually a lake or sea. This environment has allowed the mangroves to grow without interruption along the coastline, another place that is quiet is peaceful situated in the extreme south of the village.

The area southeast of the island you will find cliffs with a rocky shoreline at the base which provides shelter to the village behind the harsh elements. The special thing about the rocks that are here is because they are colored, which is due to layers of volcanic ash that produces the wonderful patterns that you see. Tg Keramat near the cliffs and caves that have arches, where you can find a wide variety of marine life such as corals, fish and crabs.

There is also a village on the southern tip of the island of Sibu the name of the island is called Kampung Duku. Here you can find a mosque that is used by Muslims to pray, a clinic, a police station and other services normally found in a village. An interesting fact about the island is that it is solar, so this can attract nature lovers to the island for their holidays.

Pulau Sibu is also a good place to include the popular snorkeling area northeast of the island, or more specifically in Tg Semanggar. A wide variety of fish and corals in this area and is perfect for beginners as well as the area is generally between 30 feet and 40 feet. There are many dive sites located near and around the island where you can take 30 minutes boat ride to these places where you can see different types of marine life up close, like nurse sharks, rays, etc.. If you travel a little further to Pulau Aur and Pulau Permangil which is about an hour away you can even have the chance to see whale sharks and manta rays.

Establishments on the main island open all year except during the months of December and January. The weather is fairly consistent throughout the year not like the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, where the experience monsoons. Temperatures usually average 29 degrees and the air is cool in the evenings.

Pulau Tinggi Island is one of many captivating tropical islands that is located on the east coast of Johore. Its white, sandy beach surrounded by attractive blue water makes a perfect refuge for those who want to escape the mundane world.

Pulau Tinggi gets its name from a high hill rising 2,000 feet above sea level ( “Tinggi” is a Malay word high). The island is painted green for the lush rainforest that is rich in rattan, wood and other useful plants.

Its surrounding waters are rich in marine life, exotic flora and beautiful underwater coral reef fringe, with an impressive view underwater for divers and diving enthusiasts. The tinggi island is also blessed with fresh water and protected natural harbor, which explains its role as a point of call for traders in the olden days.

Apart from its physical beauty, Pulau Tinggi is also famous for its mystical characters. The villagers believe that most famous Malay hero Hang Tuah, had stopped here, in one of his trips. It is believed that his spirit still guards the island in those days.
